Mary is currently a doctoral student at the Harvard School of Public Health and a Research Coordinator at the Osher Research Center. Mary works as both a researcher and administrator at Osher. Her research interests focus on the use of mind body therapies for cardiovascular disease, placebo studies, and approaches for treating psychosomatic conditions. Mary is also investigating individuals’ motivations for learning yoga and their perceived health benefits. Prior to joining HMS in 2004, Mary worked in the financial services sector conducting process improvement and strategic consulting initiatives; the non-profit sector, working to establish a foundation focused on funding brain science research; and in academic research. Mary received a B.S. in Finance from Babson College in 1997 and a B.A. with honors in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2003.
