The Division and Research Center are administrated by a variety of committees that meet periodically. Some of these committees are still being formalized.

• Scientific Advisory Board

  Chair: <Harvard Medical School Senior Faculty Member>

  Membership: Director, Executive Director, Director of Research, HMS faculty members (by appointment), external faculty members.
  Responsibilities: Review Division and Research Center strategic research plans, Advise on research collaboration with external institutions.
  Meetings: Ad hoc.

  Membership: Division Leadership
  Responsibilities: Strategic and operational oversight of Research Center activities

• Research Oversight Committee

  Staff: Andrea Hrbek
  Membership: Open to all faculty and staff involved in specific research projects.
  Responsibilities: Review activities of research project groups.
  Meetings: Quarterly

• Education Oversight Committee

  Membership: Faculty, Fellows, ad hoc
  Responsibilities: Develop education strategic plan, Collaborate with the undergraduate, graduate and Academy programs of the Medical School.

• Leadership Council

  Membership: Leaders in the business and foundation communities
  Responsibilities: Advise on business models and fundraising, Liaison to foundation and business representatives.
  Meetings: Annually

• Career Development Committee

  Chair: Julie Buring, ScD and Russ Phillips, MD
  Staff: Patricia Wilkinson
  Membership: Appointed senior faculty, Executive Director
  Responsibilities: Annual review of junior faculty and advise career development for Fellows, make recommendations for promotion, review requests for new appointments, coordinate with appointing departments.

• Research Management Committees

Responsibilities: Working in concert with the strategic research interests of the Division, these committees meet periodically to discuss current projects, review calls for proposals, assess needs and available resources, write grants and peer-review papers. In some cases these meetings are open to the public and serve as a venue to highlight ongoing research projects of the Division. Examples of current interests:
