Research Training: Complementary and Integrative Medicine
The Division offers a three-year Research Fellowship program supported in part by funding from the National Institutes of Health. The program allows participants to complete a Masters of Public Health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health, followed by a year of protected time to complete innovative research projects. Healthy Kitchens, Healthy Lives presents a leadership conference bridging nutrition science, healthcare, and the culinary arts. This project is jointly sponsored by The Culinary Institute of America and the Harvard Medical School Department of Continuing Education. Asian Medicine and Healing Seminar
Each semester, a series of distinguished scholars are brought to the library of the Osher Research Center on certain weekdays at 4:00 PM to speak about topics as diverse as placebo controls for acupuncture, and the commercialization of Tibetan herbal medicine. Kaptchuk Lectures on the History of Complementary Medicine
Each semester, faculty member Ted Kaptchuk moderates a series of lively lecture/discussions on aspects of historic, sociologic, and political antecedents to what is commonly referred to as complementary and integrative medicine. Mind-Body Research Seminar

Healing, Ritual and Placebo Seminar
Faculty members Cathy Kerr and Ted Kaptchuk moderate a series of lectures on placebo and neurological phenonmena on certain Thursdays at 4:00 PM.
